Is this a dating app?

No. MyMatch Buea is a relationship introduction platform for serious singles in Buea. There is no swiping and no endless feed. Every member is identity verified and 21 or over, and each day brings a small, considered set of people rather than a wall of faces.

Why do I have to verify my identity?

Because everyone else does too. Every member submits a photo ID and a live selfie taken with their camera at that moment, no gallery uploads, so you can be confident every profile you see is a real, age-verified person. A human reviews every submission.

Who can see my ID, selfie, or phone number?

Only our review team, never other members. Your profile shows your first name and, if they add one, a last initial (like "Linda A."), age, neighborhood, and what you share in your bio. You chat inside MyMatch, so nobody has your number by default. It is revealed only if you choose to share it, and then only with that one person.

How do conversations start?

Two ways, and both are free. You can like someone, and if they like you back you are connected instantly and a private chat opens. Or you can simply message anyone. That first message waits in their requests until they reply, and you can send up to three before they do, so nobody can be flooded.

Choosing not to reply is completely private. The sender is never told they were ignored, and nobody else ever sees it.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. Joining, verification, browsing, liking, matching, and messaging are all free, with no subscription and no per-message fee. We never ask for a card, and there is no Mobile Money prompt anywhere in the app. Full details on the pricing page.

What if someone makes me uncomfortable?

Every profile has Report and Block. Blocking hides you from each other completely and cancels anything open between you; the person is never told. Reports go to our team, and accounts that break the rules are suspended or banned. See our safety page for the full picture.

Can other people see who I am interested in?

Your conversations are private, between you and the person you contact, and a message someone chooses not to reply to stays private too. The one signal you can choose to send is a like: if you like someone's profile, that member (and only that member) can see it, so they know you're interested and can like you back. Likes are free; there is no public activity feed and no "seen by" list.

I met someone. Can I take a break?

Yes, and congratulations. In Settings you can pause your profile: you disappear from discovery while your account and connections stay intact. Unpause anytime. You can also permanently delete your account, which erases your personal data for good.

Which areas do you cover?

We are focused on Buea: Molyko, Bomaka, Great Soppo, Small Soppo, Buea Town, Bonduma, Muea, and the surrounding neighborhoods. Serving one community well matters more to us than being everywhere.

Do I have to be a certain age?

Yes. MyMatch Buea is for adults aged 21 and over. This is not a box you tick: your date of birth is checked against your photo ID by a real person before your profile goes live.

How do I get started?

Create your account. The first step takes about 45 seconds, then you submit your ID and selfie so our review can begin straight away. You write your profile and add photos while we are reviewing you, so nothing is waiting on you. Most members are reviewed and browsing the same day.
